Când politicienii vor să (re)inventeze barajele

S-au pus pe treabă în Parlament, pe treaba mare, pentru că dacă în anul ”două zeci două zeci” , forul legislativ al  României, nu dă doi bani pe natură, habitate, specii, este o problemă. Importante sunt interesele de grup și financiare și de aici e doar un pas până să propui un proiect de lege, care va distruge definitiv râurile și habitatele, va afecta speciile și într-un final pe noi, oamenii. Dar ce contează toate acestea, dacă câțiva ”băieți deștepți” fac ”câțiva” bănuți de buzunar, peste cadavrele tuturor acestor specii. În 2018, o deputată PSD, Elvira Șarapatin , cu susținerea mai multor colegi (PSD, UDMR ALDE, ProRomânia), propune un proiect de lege pentru completarea articolului 5 din Legea nr.33/1994, privind exproprierea pentru cauză de utilitate publică și așa se naște Legea Șarapatin. Declarația de la Galați privind conservarea sturionilor din bazinul Dunării și al Mării Negre

Obiectivul general al Conferinței de la Galați “Conservation of Danube Sturgeons – a challenge or a burden”, din 28-30 octombrie 2019 – organizat în comun de Universitatea „Dunărea de Jos” din Galați (Centrul de Cercetare și Dezvoltare pentru Sturioni, Habitate Acvatice și Biodiversitate) cu DSTF (Task Force Dunărea Sturgeon), Ministerul Apelor și Pădurilor din România, Ministerul Mediului din România, ANPA (Agenția Națională pentru Pescuit și Acvacultură), WSCS (World Sturgeon Conservation Society) și WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature), sub patronajul Președinției Române a SUERD (Strategia UE pentru Regiunea Dunării) și Academiei Române a fost să stabilească acțiunile necesare în vederea conservării populației de sturioni critic periclitate, din bazin al Dunării și al Mării Negre și salvarea acestora de la dispariție.În cadrul conferinței au participat 120 de delegați din administrația pescăriei, administrația apelor și mediului, comunitatea științifică și din societatea civilă din România, Bulgaria, Serbia, Ungaria, Moldova, Ucraina, Georgia, Turcia, Croația, …

Sturgeon Species of the World

The order Acipenseriformes has 27 species with very varied characteristics, developed by each species. The geographical distribution of sturgeon species is large, they live and reproduce in 85 major areas, rivers, lakes, seas and oceans, which are dispersed only in the temperate and cold region of the northern hemisphere(Bemis & Kynard, 1997). The 27 species of sturgeons and paddlefish, which are still found on Earth today (*26 species from 2020), belong to families Acipenseridae and Polyodontidae. The family Acipenseridae has 25 sturgeon species grouped into four genera: Huso (2 species), Acipenser (17 species), Pseudoscaphirhynchus (3 species) and Scaphirhynchus(3 species). The family Polyodontidae has 2 paddlefish species grouped into two genera: Psephurus (one species) Polyodon (one species). *Unfortunately, in early 2020, Chinese paddlefish (Psephurus gladius) was declared extinct by Chinese officials. Trendul de încălzire globală, prezent și în România, probabil că va avea ca efect, pe termen lung, variații tot mai mari ale condițiilor meteorologice, cu fenomene extreme tot mai des întâlnite. Conform publicațiilor de specialitate, în România s-a înregistrat, începând cu 1901, o încălzire a temperaturii medie anuale de aproximativ 0,5 C0 iar în regiunea de sud-est tendințele sunt de până la 1 C0. Din anii 70, temperaturile din timpul verii au crescut și s-au înregistrat tot mai multe anomalii. De exemplu, în vara anului 2007 au fost înregistrate temperaturi de peste 400 C, în perioadele cu temperaturi maxime normale de 350 C (Anders, et al., 2013). Two sturgeon stocking events in Hungary and Romania

Pilot stocking of 5000 juvenile sterlet (Acipenser ruthenus) took place in Baja, Hungary, and stocking of more than 1000 Russian sturgeons (Acipenser gueldenstaedtii) – in Isaccea Romania.
